Service detail

Rendering that protects before it impresses

A render coat is weatherproofing first and kerb appeal second — we pick the system to match the wall, not the brochure.

Every rendering job starts with the substrate: age of the brickwork, existing coatings, exposure. The system gets chosen after that, not before.

Sand & cement

The traditional mix — hard-wearing, economical, and paintable in any colour once cured. Right for older properties and budget-led jobs.

  • Smooth or textured finish
  • Paintable when cured
  • Good for older brickwork

Silicone systems

Flexible, breathable and self-cleaning. Costs more per square metre, saves on maintenance for a decade.

  • Crack-resistant
  • Water-repellent, breathable
  • Through-coloured finish

cta/split-band · Inverse-surface conversion band: oversized display heading left, body + primary/secondary actions + reassurance note right · motion: standard/expressive: heading then actions rise; minimal/reduced: fades or static

Questions

Asked before most jobs

Straight answers to the things people check before booking.

How long does a typical project take?

Small repairs and skimming are often a day or two. Extensions run from weeks to a few months. You get a written timeline with the quote.

Are you insured?

Yes — all work is fully insured. Documentation available on request.

Do you cover my area?

Hertfordshire and nearby, with some jobs stretching over the Bedfordshire border. If you are local, ask.

Can you manage the whole project?

Yes — materials, scheduling and trades coordinated end to end, with one point of contact.

What we do

Four trades, done end to end

Every job is quoted from a site visit, not a photo. If a job needs a trade we don’t carry, we say so.

  1. Plastering

Skimming, dry lining, ceilings and repairs — flat walls with crisp corners, ready for paint in days not weeks.

    About plastering
  2. Rendering

Sand and cement, silicone and monocouche systems. Weatherproof first, handsome second — both non-negotiable.

    About rendering
  3. Home extensions

Single and double storey, from footings to final coat, with one point of contact for the whole build.

    About extensions
  4. Building services

Structural alterations, brickwork and refurbishment — the awkward jobs between the big ones.

    About building services
testimonials/featured-spotlight · First testimonial spotlighted in display type with optional star rating; further testimonials in a quiet hairline-ruled grid — honest with a single review · motion: standard: quote and cards rise staggered; expressive: stars pop in sequence; minimal/reduced: fades or static

What clients say

  • The render transformed the front of the house — neighbours still ask who did it.

    Demo entry Hitchin
  • Ceiling repaired, skimmed and painted around a working kitchen. Barely knew they were in.

    Demo entry Letchworth
why-choose-us/large-numbers · Proof points anchored by oversized ghost ordinals behind each title — no cards or borders, two-column at desktop · motion: standard: points rise staggered; expressive: ghost ordinals scale in; minimal/reduced: fades or static

Why people come back

The boring reasons are the good ones

No slogans — just how the work actually runs.

  1. One crew, start to finish

The people who quote are the people who turn up. No sub-contracting surprises halfway through.

  2. Quotes in writing, prices that hold

Itemised quotes after a proper site visit. If something genuinely changes, you hear it from us first.

  3. Tidy sites, protected floors

Dust sheets, sealed doorways, waste gone at the end of every week — the house stays liveable.

  4. Twenty years local

Most work comes recommended from previous jobs within ten miles. That only happens one way.
